When you arrive at the campsite, all you have to do is wind down the supports with a hand crank until they reach the ground. Then you can use a spirit level to level your caravan. Sounds a bit difficult? Don’t worry, with a little practice, you can set up your mobile home in no time with this tool. Promise! Are you interested in this practical helper?
Tip
Do you love quick and efficient solutions? Then wind down the crank support with a cordless screwdriver. That’s practical and saves time. Use an adapter to attach the cordless screwdriver to the support and you’re ready to go.
Electric caravan supports – perfect for a relaxed start into your holiday
Convenient and quick. With this clever solution, you can level your caravan in the wink of an eye. How does it work? Four supports are attached to the corners of your mobile home. They are connected to an electric motor. With a remote control, you can automatically extend the electric feet and level your recreational vehicle. Particularly those campers who love to be extra comfortable will enjoy this model immensely.
These helpers will be by your side for a long time
Electric supports are not only incredibly convenient but also durable. Thanks to hot-dip galvanisation, rust and other damage caused by corrosion don’t stand a chance. The zinc coating encases the supports and protects them from mechanical stress and weathering. The electric motor is also optimally protected as a plastic cover prevents moisture from entering. What do you have to pay attention to when using caravan supports?
- You want to set up your caravan with electric supports in the middle of nature far away from a power connection? Then you should keep in mind that you will need a battery.
- Before you level your caravan with a crank support, make sure it is standing on even ground. That makes it easier for you to check if your caravan is level with a spirit level. But be careful! Not all electric levelling systems have an integrated spirit level. Therefore, you should always have this practical measuring device with you. Are you still looking for the right model?
- Is your caravan standing on a gentle slope? That’s not a problem. Just put a levelling ramp under the affected wheel to compensate for the inclination. Curious to see which models we have in our online shop?
- We also have a solution for really steep mountain slopes. Put a second levelling ramp under another wheel. Then use a spirit level to check whether your mobile home is level. If it isn’t, shift the levelling ramps a bit and adjust the jockey wheel if necessary.
- Attention! Before you level your caravan with your support system, you should make sure that it is standing on solid ground.
- Only use caravan supports to park your mobile home. If you want to change a tyre, always use a jack, instead.
Technical terms simply explained
- What does hot-dip galvanisation mean?
Hot-dip galvanising protects against rust. During this process, iron or steel is immersed in molten zinc. This forms a protective alloy layer of zinc and iron, which makes the material more resistant, and a tightly adhering layer of pure zinc. - What is a levelling ramp?
With levelling ramps, you ensure that your caravan or motorhome is standing level even on uneven ground. The ramps are slightly slanted and can be used on both the front and the rear wheels – depending on where you need them. You simply drive your caravan or motorhome onto the ramps. Levelling ramps are sometimes also called stepped levelling ramps, wheel levellers or levelling aids. - What is a levelling ramp?

The jockey wheel is an auxiliary wheel. It prevents your caravan from falling over when it is parked or not connected to your car.
