A holiday with a view of a breathtaking mountain panorama and lakes as far as you can see. It can’t get any better? Yes, it can. If you sleep in a tent in the middle of such a dream setting. You’ve been looking for the right 5 person tent for your group for a while? Then you’ve come to the right place. With our tips, you will find out which model is best suited for you.
Space and comfort for groups and couples
You love your privacy and want to keep it even when travelling in a group? Then family and tunnel tents are an excellent choice for you. In both types of tents, you have separate sleeping cabins that offer more than enough space. That means that you and your favourite person can go to bed while your friends stay up late. These tents are perfect for combining the needs of each individual group member.
Tip
You want to be extra comfortable on your camping holiday with your family or friends? Then subtract one person from the number of people stated. A 5 person tent offers more than enough space for four people. Relaxation and a good atmosphere are guaranteed.
A spacious anteroom for your things
Family tents and tunnel tents are also an excellent solution for travellers with children and lots of luggage. In the spacious anteroom, there is plenty of room for both your hiking and camping gear and your children’s toys. Young and old alike will get their money’s worth with this tent. Want to take a closer look?
Be well protected against insects
Do you love nature but don’t necessarily want to share your space with mosquitoes and wasps? Then we have a solution for you. Mosquito nets at the tent entrance keep these unwelcome visitors out. Enjoy quiet nights even when you’re camping near lakes or rivers.

Are you looking for a 5 person tent that you can sleep in even on hot summer nights? With this model, that’s not a problem – even if your tent has been standing in the sun all day. Promise! Sleepless nights are a thing of the past! Sounds like a dream come true, right?

Then we have the perfect solution for you: a tent with several fastening hooks for your lamps. Simply attach the lamps to the hook in your tent entrance and enjoy the light. With these models, you can put your flashlights aside and sit back and relax. Are you looking for your future chill-out area?
Stay dry even when it rains
You want to sit in a cosy 5 person tent even in bad weather? Then you should pay attention to the hydrostatic head of your future shelter. It ensures that not a single drop of water ends up in your tent – even if it’s pouring down. Which hydrostatic head is right for you depends on the season and your destination. If you like to play it safe, extra protection is provided by a zip cover with an additional gutter. With this tent, the weather won’t spoil your mood again. Ingenious, right?
Technical terms simply explained
- What is a hydrostatic head?
The hydrostatic head tells you how waterproof a tent is. The value is given in millimetres and measures how much water pressure the tent fabric can withstand. If you use your tent mainly in the summer, a hydrostatic head of at least 2000 mm is recommended. If you also want to go camping during the rest of the year, you should opt for a tent with a hydrostatic head of at least 3000 mm. And when travelling to rainy areas, such as Norway, we recommend a tent with a hydrostatic head of at least 4000 mm. - What does BlackOut Bedroom™ technology mean?
This Coleman technology blocks up to 99 % of daylight. It prevents light from entering your sleeping area so that you can enjoy a restful night’s sleep at any time of day.
