Antifreeze for motorhomes – protect your water system in winter
If you do not use your motorhome during the winter months, you should protect the water system from frost. Even a few degrees below zero can cause significant damage to pipes, pumps and tanks if there are still water residues in the system. Even if you drain it thoroughly, small amounts often remain that can freeze and lead to expensive repairs.
The awiwa® antifreeze provides reliable protection for drinking water systems and has been specially developed for use in motorhomes and caravans. It is added undiluted to the water tank and protects down to temperatures of -40 °C. With a mixing ratio of two parts antifreeze to one part water, -20 °C is easily covered, while a 1:1 mixture remains effective down to -10 °C.
The natural-based antifreeze can be easily drained, collected and reused at the start of the season. Flushing the drinking water system is not necessary, as any residues are harmless.
