Safe, reliable and environmentally friendly with an electric arc instead of a flame – this is how candles, lanterns, the gas stove, barbecue or fireplace are lit today. Disposable lighters are bad for the environment, and with refillable lighters you often do not have gas or petrol at hand at the crucial moment.
The arc lighter by TFA works with an electrically generated arc and can be charged easily and economically via micro-USB cable – via notebook, PC or power bank – just like your smartphone. An LED indicator light shows when the battery is running low and after 1.5 – 2 hours of charging, it is ready for use again. The matching charging cable is included.
The handy device has even more advantages over conventional lighters: Since it does not produce an open flame, it ignites in wind and weather like a storm lighter and offers more safety. Pressing the button immediately builds up the arc between the electrodes. A protective cover prevents unintentional ignition. As soon as you release the button, or after 10 seconds at the latest, the arc is automatically interrupted. The stick shape makes the lighter safe and comfortable to use. Additional flexibility is provided by the movable neck, which can be aligned as desired.
