SOG makes it possible to use the toilet without having to worry about bad odours – even without sanitary additives.
How does it work?
A specially developed, small high-performance fan, which switches on automatically when the toilet is opened, creates a negative pressure in the waste tank:
- This creates suction (German: "Sog") at the slider opening. This suction draws in fresh air as well as the odours produced during use and directs them outside. The drawing in of air acts like a seal and prevents all unpleasant foul gases from escaping from the tank. With each use, more air (oxygen) is sucked into the cassette. Water is added each time you flush.
- Even after automatic switch-off (closing the slider), the system is permanently ventilated thanks to a pipe or hose connection to the outside that is always open. This supply of oxygen accelerates the decomposition process.
Important: Replacement and activated carbon filters should be changed annually.
Discover the efficient electric toilet ventilation for your SOG dry toilet – available in two versions:
The door version is particularly easy to install. The fan is attached to the inside of the disposal door, while the housing with activated charcoal filter is attached to the outside. This plastic housing is available in white, light grey, dark grey and black and can be painted in the colour of the vehicle if required. SOG for the service door offers an uncomplicated ventilation solution.
The floor version is characterised by its flexibility. The replaceable filter cartridge with fan can be installed up to three metres away from the toilet and vented via the floor, for example in the garage, under the seat bench or in the storage compartment. This solution is ideal for caravans in which the toilet service door leads into the awning. The special filter unit effectively neutralises odours and ensures fresh air.
Both versions are easy to retrofit.
