Skylights
Panorama window or mini caravan skylight – we make sure that you have a great view
There are just as many differences in the size of caravans and motorhomes as there are in the dimensions of caravan skylights. The most important question in advance: Do you want to see as much as possible or are you more interested in a ventilation option?
- Through the caravan skylight 900 x 600, you experience every sunrise virtually from the front row. It’s nice to start a camping day like that.
- The 40 x 40 caravan skylight has the perfect size to provide fresh air and “let off steam” in the kitchen or bathroom.
Skylights for the bathroom in your caravan
Damp air should always be able to escape from your caravan quickly and easily so that annoying mould can’t even develop in the first place. Frequently letting some air in is therefore very important, especially in places where you cook or use a lot of water. If your caravan is not equipped with enough windows or doors, you should consider retrofitting a skylight in the bathroom
Caravan skylights with or without forced ventilation – How much fresh air would you like?
Admittedly, forced ventilation sounds a bit harsh. But it’s actually pretty clever. If you opt for such a caravan skylight, the air in your camper is permanently exchanged with the air outside. Even when the skylight is closed.
- The most important arguments for a caravan skylight with forced ventilation:
- Constant air circulation ensures good air.
- Danger of an excessive carbon monoxide concentration in the interior is reduced.
- Hardly any misting up of the windows at night and thus less moisture in the camper.
- Bad smells and mould growth are prevented.
- Accumulated heat can escape in the summer.
- Caravans “in hibernation” are reliably ventilated.
Caravan skylights – how about a few extras?
No sooner do you think you’ve got the whole skylight issue figured out than we turn up with the extras.
- If you like it dark when you sleep, we recommend a skylight with blackout blinds.
- Buying a fly screen for your caravan skylight can save entire holidays. With Frankana Freiko, they are often already integrated.
- Models with hail protection won’t leave you out in the rain, even in the worst of storms.
- A cover will keep your new caravan skylight looking like new for a long time.
Tip
Please remember that some skylights for caravans are only approved by the manufacturer for speeds of up to 100 km/h. So even if you can’t wait to finally arrive at your holiday destination, you’d better take it easy.
Good to know: For winter camping, you may need a little more heating power with this type of skylight.
